题型改革
从2016年开始，大学英语四级考试的听力部分做了调整。取消了原有的短对话、短文听写，增加了短篇新闻。听力篇章也由原来的两篇，增加为三篇。最新的听力题型及分值如下：
sectiona短篇新闻是新增的题型，大学英语四级考试中心给出的样题里，三篇的新闻都来自bbc，所以平时大家可以多听一下bbc、cri、voa、n之类的新闻。之前的短对话，内容都比较生活化，单词也是大家常见的。但是新闻材料的内容一般比较严谨，句子表达更正式一些。新闻材料虽然难，但也是有技巧的。多练习，掌握新闻类的一些高频词、常见句型，那么新题型将不再是难题。sectionb长对话和之前相比，没有改变。sectionc听力篇章，比原来多了一篇。
一、预测内容
播放听力之前，考生可以利用试卷上的题目，提前进行判断。可以先竖着看看各个选项，找出相同之处。然后横着看，找出不同之处。特别注意重复率较高的词，这些词一般跟主题联系紧密，通过它们，可以大概判断出听力内容。
二、仔细听开头
无论是对话还是篇章，开头都会引出话题，或者交代主要内容。听到开头的几个句子，要联系相关的话题信息，推测下面可能会讲述的内容或者场景。这样就有利于高效吸收接下来的内容。有的时候，开头也会设置考点，询问考生篇章的主题是什么。所以，务必认真听。
三、把握关键词
1表示时间的单词，比如sixo'clock,suer,rrychrists等。
2表示顺序的单词，比如first,then等。如果题目中考事件的先后顺序，那么听的时候，就要特别注意，必要时，用笔将相关信息记下来。
3表示强调的单词，比如especially,only,thatistosay,allinall等，这些单词或者词组，后面跟的内容，通常都比较重要。
4表示逻辑关系的单词，比如infact,unfortunately,inntrastto,however等，后面的内容与前面相反或者相对。
四、结尾内容
篇章或者对话的结尾，往往是总结性的话语，也容易设置考点，考查事情的最终结果。所以要认真听，把握主要信息。
